Die gesamte Lufttechnik sowie die Elektro- und Steuertechnik sind dabei platzsparend im Tablettencoater untergebracht. Der Laborcoater BFC 5 ist sehr anwender- und bedienerfreundlich. Zur Installation werden lediglich ein elektrischer Anschluss und eine Druckluft-Versorgung benötigt. Eine hohe Flexibilität zeichnet den VFC 5 Laborcoater aus. So kann er mit zwei unterschiedlichen Trommeln betrieben werden. Dadurch ist der Laborcoater für Batch-Größen von 2 bis 13 Liter ausgelegt. Ein Upscaling auf Tabletten-Coater im Produktionsmaßstab von L.B. Bohle ist problemlos möglich.

Die Produkte, die mit Hilfe des Förderers in die Kabine gelangen, werden automatisch mit einem 1-Achsen-Pulverbeschichtungsroboter lackiert. Pulverbeschichtungsroboter haben durch ihr speziell entwickeltes Bewegungs- und Antriebssystem Reibung und Vibration minimiert und sind in der Lage, die Sinusbewegung des Werkstücks ohne Verformung in seiner verdünnten Struktur zu ermöglichen. Mit hochwertigen Geräten verlängert sich die Lebensdauer und der Wechsel vom Kettenantrieb zum Triggerriemenantrieb. Der Pulverbeschichtungsroboter wird über das Touchpanel gesteuert.
